Paddington to get Searcys treatment
Searcys is spreading its Champagne Bar concept with a new site at Paddington Station that mirrors its other station venue at St Pancras.
With a large selection of grandes marques Champagnes available by the bottle and 15 Champagnes and sparkling wines by the glass, the new 40-cover bar will also focus on supporting the UK’s burgeoning sparkling wine production.
Prices at the bar, which opened last Thursday, range from £8 a glass to £1,200 for a Balthazar of non-vintage Laurent-Perrier Brut and tasting flights will also be available.
Tapas-style dishes that have been designed to match Champagne will also be offered.
The site is only part of a planned expansion for the company, which also has hopes to open bars in Manchester, Birmingham and Brighton, as well as further London ones on top of its two sites at the train stations, the Hurlingham Club, The Gherkin, Westfield Champagne Bar and the Portrait Restaurant at the National Portrait Gallery.
