Asda buyer returns to the fold
Liz Aked has joined the buying team at Asda, saying she’s “honoured” to be part of the team.
Aked, the former trading controller of wines at Spar, said: “After 16 years at Spar, it’s fantastic to have joined the young, dynamic and innovative team at Asda."
Aked’s role will involve buying from the US and South Africa while also working on the new UK bottling initiative.
Aked added: “It’s great to see a friendly face and to be working with Asda’s MW, Philippa Carr, once again. It is such an exciting time for the entire team who are passionate about wine and delivering the best possible quality to our consumers. I’m honoured to be a part of it.”
