Sainsburys hires another buyer
Sainsbury’s has bolstered its BWS department with the addition of a buyer to its team who is set to capitalise on the store’s fundamental changes in strategy made earlier in the year.
Julie Buckley, who starts at the supermarket in August, is a former buyer for multiple retailer Oddbins.
Speaking of the appointment, category manager for BWS, Justin James, said: “I am really delighted that Julie is joining our team.”
Adding that the supermarket will “benefit from a buyer with her industry experience,” James commented: “We have made some major changes to our wine range and store layout this year and the next stage of our wine strategy will focus on product quality and innovation.”
Buckley is the second recent addition to the Sainsbury’s BWS team as she follows the arrival of David Peek, who started there last week.
