IWSC lines up for the fair
Give yourself a break from meetings and grab a seat at stand T20 for one of the IWSC masterclasses. As the medal winners from the Competition’s Northern Hemisphere judging are unveiled on Tuesday, the stand will also host open tastings of some of the star entries this year.
Day one sees Joe Wadsack take to the stage at 2pm to guide his audience through a food and wine pairing session.
Jamie Goode gets Wednesday off to a flying start at 11am with the chance to see how England matches up with sparkling wine competition from around the world.
Cleanse your palate after lunch with the 2pm tasting of Germany’s VDP Rieslings, or stop by at 4pm, when IWSC Winemaker of the Year 2009, Neil McGuigan, will take the audience through a specially chosen selection of wines.
If you’re still standing by day three, don’t miss the food and wine pairing session hosted at 11am by IWSC Communicator of the Year 2010 joint winners, Peter Richards and Susie Barrie MW.
Round off the fair with John West’s World Wide Wines tasting at 2pm, or treat yourself to some of the gold medal winners, which will be on show at 4pm.
For full coverage of IWSC activity at LIWF 2010, look out for the June issue of the drinks business.
