Katie Price to launch own wine brand

British reality TV personality Katie Price is entering the wine industry with the launch of a sparkling pink cava.

the drinks business has learned the former glamour girl and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here contestant has signed an exclusive deal with discount supermarket chain Lidl to sell the wine, which is called Princess after Price’s two-year-old daughter.

Described as “slightly nutty with a bitter twist”, the wine will retail for £2.99 for a limited trial period.

OK! Magazine has secured exclusive rights to the Princess launch party, which is set to take place next Wednesday (April 7) at the Basildon, Essex branch of Lidl.

Price and her cage-fighter husband Alex Reid, who this week both attended Channel 4’s Comedy Gala at London’s O2, hope the wine will appeal to younger female drinkers.
