Fine wine experience at Le Pont de la Tour
London restaurant Le Pont de la Tour will open up its impressive cellars to a wider audience with a series of fine wine tastings.
The first tasting will be held on Thursday 15 April with the owner of Château Teyssier, Jonathan Maltus, who is described by the restaurant as ‘the ultimate garagiste’.
Five vintages of his Le Dôme St Emilion Grand Cru will be tasted, followed by Champagne and canapés in the restaurant’s private dining room.
Head sommelier, Nicolas Clerc, said: “We’ve set up these tastings as Le Pont has a history of hosting tastings to delight and educate our guests by showcasing wines that we offer by working closely with our producers and suppliers.
“This is particularly true for the upcoming Le Dôme St Emilion tasting with Jonathan Maltus: he is an Englishman producing a small amount of prestigious wines that reflect the extraordinary quality that we want to offer to our guests and customers.
“Our future plans are to continue to make elite producers from around the world accessible to our guests,” he said.
Tickets are limited and cost £70. They can be booked in person at Le Pont de la Tour’s Wine Merchant, located next to the restaurant, or over the phone on +44 (0)20 7403 8403.
