The Zetter gets better
The Zetter hotel in London’s Clerkenwell opens a new 85-seat restaurant next month, Bistrot Bruno Loubet.
Loubet has spent the past eight years working in Australia but returned to the UK last summer, collaborating with Pierre Koffmann on the pop-up restaurant project at Selfridges. This latest venture promises a return of the hallmark modern style Loubet demonstrated at his former London restaurants Bistrot Bruno and L’Odéon.
Mark Sainsbury, who co-owns the hotel with Michael Benyan, commented: “We are thrilled that Bruno is joining the Zetter. The Clerkenwell area is increasingly becoming a vibrant destination for restaurants, bars and hotels, and Bistrot Bruno Loubet will be a fabulous addition to the scene.”
Opened in 2004, The Zetter itself is a relative newcomer to the London hotel scene, named after the football pools company which used to occupy this converted Victorian warehouse. Sainsbury and Benyan bring plenty of restaurant know-how, having previously worked as part of the team behind the highly successful Moro, located just down the road in Exmouth Market.
