Buxton scoops top printer gong
Pictured below is Bernard Galloway, proudly displaying his “Number One” rosette in the wake of huge success for his company Buxton Press.
The grin is more than justified after Buxton, printer of the drinks business among many other top titles, scooped the UK printing industry’s top award – the much coveted PrintWeek Printing Company of the Year Award.
Kirk Galloway, director and general manager, and George Briddon, executive director, were presented with the coveted trophy in front of 1,200 diners at a spectacular black tie ceremony held at Grosvenor House, London.
Kirk, on receiving the award, paid tribute to his colleagues, saying: “I am absolutely thrilled that Buxton has been recognised in this way: it’s a great and fitting testament to everyone who has worked so hard to get us to where we are now.”
The PrintWeek Awards honour the main achievers in the whole of the UK printing industry, with the winner being selected by an elite panel of 22 judges from the world of print.
Buxton, already the recipient of 14 awards, was cited as being a shining example and judged to punch well above its weight in terms of productivity and performance and the well deserved winner of the industry’s top award.
