Co-op in £200m giveaway
The Co-operative Group is to offer a variety of Christmas price cuts and promotions amounting to £200 million in a bid to help consumers during the recession.
The offer includes the best-ever dividend to its members, whereby the first ever triple dividend will feature as part of the promotional activity.
Available at the 3,000 Co-operative and Somerfield stores, customers will be able to enjoy a range of coupons worth £60m, through discounts on future shopping bills.
Chief executive of the group, Peter Marks, said: "With rising fuel prices and financial pressures hitting household budgets this Christmas, customers are looking for a great deal locally."
