Makeover for The Faulkner
The Faulkner Bar & Kitchen in the Hoole district of Chester unveiled a new look and a new menu this weekend.
A weekend brunch menu has now been added, together with a number of nightly specials.
Monday nights offer four tapas dishes for £10, with a quiz giving punters the chance to win a £30 bar tab.
Alternatively, head over on a Tuesday for the restaurant’s all day two-for-one pizza deal. On weekends The Faulkner opens for brunch from 9am, serving up an all day homemade roast on Sundays.
Owner Ian Wade took over the venue five years ago, adding it to his other local ventures, the award-winning Ring O’Bells in Christleton and The Bouverie in Chester’s Garden Quarter.
Describing The Faulkner’s makeover, Wade explained: “We are going for a real retro feel with the new refurb, focusing on ‘boho chic’”.
He added: “We are passionate about what we do and it is sad to hear that 52 pubs close in Britain every week, a third more this year than last.
"We’re working to bite-back this trend and really appreciate all the support from our locals and city-visitors too”.
