Jewell-encrusted Chambord bottle has the Edge
Chambord has commissioned leading jeweller Donald Edge to design a $2 million diamond, gold and pearl bottle to celebrate the launch of Sean Mathias’ new stage adaptation of Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
The bespoke, one-off, limited edition Chambord by Donald Edge bottle will feature over 1,100 round brilliant cut diamonds, in addition to pear cut diamonds, a square cut emerald diamond, the finest round pearls and hand-wrought 18 carat yellow gold.
The bottle will be launched at London Fashion Week on 22 September and will then be displayed on the opening night of Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the Chambord bar at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Starring award-winning British actress Anna Friel and one of America’s most sought-after Hollywood talents, Joseph Cross, Chambord Presents Breakfast at Tiffany’s is hoping to become the West End hit of the year.
Charlotte Ashburner, Chambord brand manager said: “We’re thrilled and delighted that Donald Edge has agreed to recreate our famous bottle in diamonds, his jewellery is breathtakingly beautiful.
Chambord is the epitome of glamour and the Chambord by Donald Edge bottle will truly represent the fashionable spirit of the brand.”
Donald Edge added: “To be asked to recreate a jewelled Chambord bottle to celebrate the launch of Breakfast at Tiffany’s is such an honour. The bottle itself, a royal orb, is such an iconic design – to encrust it in diamonds, pearls and gold will only enhance its natural beauty – it will become a work of art.”
