Moët puts movies on the menu

Moët & Chandon has teamed up with London hotel One Aldwych to create a suitably glamorous dinner and cinema experience, “Movies on the Menu”.

Every Friday and Saturday night until December, for just £38.50 a head, customers can book a three course meal at Axis restaurant, before moving downstairs to the private screening room to enjoy a film.

This is your chance to see a mix of recent releases and older favourites. The opening weekend of 18 and 19 September celebrates London Fashion Week with The Devil Wears Prada.

Other films to look forward to include Marilyn Monroe’s comedy classic Some Like It Hot; the political satire In The Loop; and Clint Eastwood’s latest movie, Gran Torino.

Horror film junkies should book early for Hallowe’en to catch a special late night screening of The Exorcist.

In the final run up to Christmas, the offer moves to Sunday brunch at the hotel’s Indigo restaurant and an afternoon film for £30 per person. The line-up will also take on a more festive feel, showing favourites Love Actually, Happy Feet, White Christmas and, of course Home Alone.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect accompaniment to your meal or the film, guests can add on a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial, which is available at a special price of £25.

This collaboration marks the latest step by Moët & Chandon to bolster its credentials as the film industry’s favourite Champagne.

This year the house introduced Scarlett Johansson as its new celebrity ambassador, with the actress set to feature in Moët’s UK campaign this November.

Frédéric Cumenal, president of Moët & Chandon, said: “Scarlett Johansson was the obvious choice as our ambassador because she, like Moët, has a magical story to tell and makes people dream.”
