KP the kebab king
England cricketer Kevin Pietersen will find himself on kitchen duty this Friday when he cooks up kebabs for a group of Whyte & Mackay competition winners.
While his England colleagues fight to clinch the Ashes series in the fifth and final test at the Oval, Pietersen will show off his culinary skills at London’s Cinnamon Club, which is hosting a special meal for the 10 winners.
All the winners are being flown over from India by the Scotch whisky brand as part of their prize.
Philip McTeer, head of brand for Whyte & Mackay, said: “We are very excited about Kevin Pietersen agreeing to spoil our competition winners who will not only get this golden opportunity to visit London but to meet with one of the greatest cricket stars.”
After Pietersen’s opening performance, Hari Nagaraj, head chef at The Cinnamon Club, will serve a three course meal, with each dish complimented by a selected whisky from the Whyte & Mackay range. This includes slow braised lamb curry with chillies, corn and pilau rice, accompanied by Whyte & Mackay’s Jura 10 year old whisky.
