Majestic money-saving mania

Majestic is maintaining its special offer momentum by continuing to sell-out of its special New World Parcel wine offers. The British-based multiple specialist has over 50 wines on the promotion from the likes of South Africa, Australia and the US, with some bottle prices startingat less than £4 each.

As well as in-store promotions of these parcel wines, last week the merchant was offering five wines as online exclusives, a different wine each day. Tuesday’s offer of Ravenswood VB Cabernet 2004 was sold out less than two hours after going online, while Thursday’s offer of Starvedog Lane Sauvignon Blanc 2007 was sold out in less than a day.

Majestic blogger Richard Weaver said on the site: " I blogged recently about how powerful our ability to land these kinds of deals is, but this is something else."

Retail on Monday reported two weeks ago on the consumer rush of demand for its first offer of a Pinot Noir from Central Otago for £7.99 following the notification on Majestic’s Twitter account and through the company’s official blog.
