Skylon chases British summer
Skylon Bar in London has teamed up with Chase vodka to create some truly British summer cocktails.
Mixologist Zolan Peric has put together his British Summer Collection using only drinks produced in Britain. The Herefordshire distillery, which produces the first and only UK potato vodka on the market, was an obvious candidate for this project.
Peric explains: “In our current credit crunch environment, customers are looking for value for money and good quality. And they are demanding more products that are made in the UK from locally sourced ingredients. Chase vodka offers all those things.”
Chase vodka features in a number of creative cocktails on the menu, including the Pimm’s Royal and the Watermelon Delight. The company also produces a number of fruit liqueurs, which Peric has used widely, from the Raspberry Collins to the Oriental Express and Southbank Bramble.
Skylon is located by the Royal Festival Hall, right at the heart of London’s Southbank, and forms part of the D&D London portfolio. The British Summer Collection range of cocktails is available until September.
