Senior Constellation winemaker quits
Constellation Wines Australia’s senior winemaker in Western Australia has resigned after six years with the company.
Rob Bowen, who currently heads up Constellation’s operations in Houghton, Amberley, Goundrey and Brookland Valley in his role as chief winemaker and regional manager, will leave on 5 June.
Bowen said: “I’m looking for new challenges. Whether it be in Portugal or Argentina or Spain or anywhere, I’d like to find something exciting.”
Bowen’s time at Constellation has yielded hundreds of medals and trophies at Australian wine shows, having previously spent five years at Willow Bridge, nine years at Capel Vale and nine years at Plantagenet.
