Changes at the top for Pernod Ricard
Pernod Ricard has announced five new appointments, effective from 1 July, which will bring sweeping changes to the company’s international management.
Philippe Dréano, currently chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod Ricard Asia is
appointed chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod Ricard Americas.
In this position Philippe will cover all the Americas from his base in New York and will report to Michel Bord, Pernod Ricard deputy managing director, distribution network.
Replacing him in Asia is Pierre CoppéreÌ, currently chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod.
Coppéré, who will be based in Hong Kong, will cover all the Pernod Ricard Asian affiliates and will also report to Michel Bord.
César Giron, currently chairman and chief executive officer of Wyborowa, will replace Coppéré as chairman and chief executive officer of Pernod. Giron’s replacement at Wyborowa will be announced at a later date.
Philippe Guettat, currently managing director of Pernod Ricard China, is appointed chairman and chief executive officer of The Absolut Company.
Guettat, who will be based in Stockholm, will become a member of the Pernod Ricard executive committee and will report to Thierry Billot, Pernod Ricard deputy managing director in charge of brands.
Finally Con Constandis, currently chairman and chief executive officer of Corby Distilleries in Canada, is appointed managing director of Pernod Ricard China, replacing Philippe Guettat.
