Hulk Hogan’s beer sued after woman hit with can
By Louis ThomasEx-wrestler Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer is being sued after a woman was hit in the head with a sealed can at a promotional event for the brand last summer.
Hogan launched Real American Beer, which claims to be low in calories and carbohydrates, in June 2024.
The aforementioned incident took place two months afterwards on 19 August at Thirsty Cowboys in Medina, Ohio.
During the event, Hogan and another, so far unnamed, promoter threw sealed cans of the beer into the crowd. One of these cans struck a woman, named Michelle Harlukowicz, on the forehead, leaving her with an open wound.

Local police arrived at the scene, but were unable to ascertain who threw the beer can.
On 10 February, Harlukowicz filed a lawsuit against the brand and the venue, on the pretext that Real American Beer’s negligence caused the injury, and that Thirsty Cowboys is responsible for hosting promoters.
Attorney Eric Tayfel, who is representing Harlukowicz, told Fox 8: “It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with it with a can of beer.”
“She had an open wound to her forehead. It was pretty big. She ended up needing a number of stitches to her head, and she’s going to have some permanent scarring from that,” he added. “How does a responsible company allow full cans of beer to be thrown into a crowd of its guests?…He [Hogan] is still touring around hocking his beer. We certainly don’t want to have this happen to anyone else.”
Harlukowicz is seeking medical expenses, as well as damages for the pain, suffering and emotional distress caused by the incident.
db has reached out to Real American Beer for comment on the matter.
