The World Atlas of Wine Tasting in Beijing
Suntory Holdings China, ASC Fine Wines and CITIC Press Group hosted an exclusive wine tasting event at the CITIC Bookstore in Sanlitun, Beijing on 11 December. The gathering marked over a decade of collaboration between Suntory and the CITIC Group, and commemorated ASC’s pivotal role in introducing The World Atlas of Wine to China. In 2010, the year ASC became a member of the Suntory Group, in partnership with CITIC Press Group, ASC played a key role in the translation and publishing of the 6th edition of The World Atlas of Wine in Chinese and invited the book’s authors – Jancis Robinson MW OBE and Hugh Johnson OBE – to China to promote this definitive guide. ASC’s efforts laid a solid foundation for subsequent Chinese editions, including the 7th and the latest 8th edition.
Longbottom showcased at DMBA 2024

Penfolds unveils Champagne pop-up in Hainan shopping mall
Penfolds unveiled its latest foray into global travel retail in December with an immersive Champagne pop-up in the island province of Sanya, Hainan. The activation was inaugurated on 6 December with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Penfolds Brand Ambassador Wang Yang. The initial opening was followed by an exclusive yacht tasting event and luxury dinner.

Manuel Arce, APAC brand ambassador for Alto del Carmen, conducted a showcase of Alto del Carmen with Double Dutch premium mixers for Chinese influencers in Shanghai in December. The session centred around versatility of the highball and easy-to-craft cocktails to highlight the growing trend of at home consumption within Gen Z consumers in China.
