The Business Forum announced for ProWein 2025

ProWein Düsseldorf 2025 will feature a new programme addressing the industry’s most pressing topics, titled the Business Forum.

ProWein is launching a new programme to discuss business topics at its 2025 show. The Business Forum will take place across the three days of ProWein Düsseldork (running 16-18 March 2025) and offer commentary on some of the most pressing matters facing the global drinks industry today.

Each day of the show will see a different subject addressed at the new forum. On Sunday 16 March, the sessions will turn to the consumer of tomorrow. Across the day, experts will discuss new target group, developing price segments and the new contexts for wine and spirits that emerge in the light of changing health awareness.

Monday’s sessions are titled ‘I am a Buyer and I’m Here to Learn…’ and will foreground the importance of marketing. The various sessions will look at how trends and technology are changing marketing in the industry. Highlights include sessions on leveraging ProWein as an event, wine merchants using AI, how data can help bypass traditional distribution silos and how the industry can take advantage of social media, with particular reference to TikTok.

On the fair’s final day, attention will shift to sustainability. The Tuesday sessions will face up to this substantial challenge, assessing the impact of climate change on individual regions, exploring the possibilities offered by alternative grape varieties and more. There will also be a presentation of the current ProWein Business Report.

Led by expertise

ProWein has announced that The Business Forum will be chaired by Cathy Huygens. Her experience spans several sides of the drinks industry. She is an award-winning journalist, regularly writing for Forbes.

She also comes with experience as an entrepreneur. She co-founded Enolytics, a data-driven business-intelligence provider for the drinks industry.

The Business Forum is the latest venture as ProWein expands its offering to accommodate the latest trends and themes in the business. Alongside its general entry halls, where visitors can meet a global cohort of producers, distributors and businesspeople, it has launched several highlight zones to focus on key topics.

These include ProWein Zero, the Champagne Lounge, Organic World, Packaging & Design, urban gastronomy and the Concept Store.
