Beavertown festive beers are a Mojito, spicy, glitter, fruit mash up

Heineken has released its Christmas range for its Beavertown beer brand including a Mojito-inspired lager.

The 5% ABV beer, named Spicy-Boi Mojito Lager, will be launched alongside the brewery’s returning seasonal 4.3% ABV glitter-infused session beer Frozen Neck Globe Session IPA which was first introduced in 2022.

This year, in time for the festive season, Heineken will also be introducing a 4% ABV citrus-infused beer for Beavertown named Live Laugh Love Buck’s Fizz IPA along with a 6% ABV beer named Very Cherry Cola Cherry Rye IPA.

Speaking to db about the Christmas releases for the brand, a spokesperson for the brewery said: “Christmas is a key time for category innovation, and our festive beer range is designed to offer something truly unique. Leading the way is the UK’s first-ever spicy Mojito lager, blending the crispness of Mexican lager with Mojito-inspired zest, delivering a fresh and unexpected flavour profile.”

Describing the additional beers in the festive line up, the spokesperson added: “We’ve also brought back fan favourites like our glitter-infused Frozen Neck Globe Session IPA and introduced the bold Cherry Cola Rye IPA. Each of these beers offers something different this festive season.”

Beavertown has recently been in the news following the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) launch of its new Indie Beer campaign which sets out to show if a brewer is independently owned and has genuine craft credentials. New YouGov data published had found that 75% of people surveyed believe consumers are being misled when purchasing beer from once independent craft breweries, such as Beavertown, that are now owned by global beer giants Heineken.

The results of the research also showed that consumers generally were more likely to think global-owned brands were actually independent. 40% of people surveyed thought Beavertown Neck Oil was independent – higher than genuinely independent breweries.
