Santa Rita Estates appoints new corporate marketing director
The Chilean wine powerhouse has appointed former Casillero del Diablo and Concha y Toro alumnus Carla Errázuriz Böhmer as its new corporate marketing director.
Santa Rita Estates welcomes Carla Errázuriz Böhmer to the team as the wine group continues to consolidate its brands and strengthen its presence both in Chile and internationally.
Errázuriz Böhmer has more than 20 years experience working in the wine trade, having previously managed premium brands for Chilean wine giants Concha y Toro and Casillero del Diablo, holding roles of marketing director for luxury brand division, and global brand manager, respectively.
She takes over from Francisca Muñiz, who led the Santa Rita Estates marketing department for the past four years, concluding a nearly two-decade career at the company. Muñiz has left the role to take on new challenges.
“We are confident that her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the industry will be key to driving the growth and success of our winery,” said Santa Rita Estates of Errázuriz Böhmer’s appointment.
In May this year, Santa Rita beat 13 other candidates to be awarded the accolade of Best Responsible Wine Tourism Experience by The Global Wine Tourism Organisation (GWTO), an achievement that Errázuriz Böhmer’s predecessor Muñiz played a key role in as tourism manager.
Its Pewën de Apalta wine was named by db’s Patrick Schmitt MW as one of his ten Chilean icon wines, with Schmitt calling it “spicy, bright and layered” and a wine that “shows the serious side of Carmenere.”
