Delicato Family Wines continues BIPOC initiative

Delicato Family Wines has announced the third year of its BIPOC Scholarship, continuing to empower Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students across all areas of the wine industry.

This year, two young women have been awarded the prestigious scholarship as they pursue careers in marketing.

Since expanding, the BIPOC Scholarship program now offers opportunities for students pursuing a wide range of careers within Delicato, beyond winemaking.

The program provides full tuition coverage, mentorship from senior executives, professional development, and paid internships across multiple departments, ensuring that recipients gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields.

Scholarship winners are also guaranteed a position within the wine industry upon completing their studies.

“We are truly excited to welcome Imani Norris and Annastasia Freeman into the Delicato family,” said Chris Indelicato, Chief Executive Officer. “This scholarship is about more than supporting careers; it’s about believing in people and walking alongside them as they grow. Imani and Annastasia have shown incredible passion and dedication, and we’re honored to be part of their journey as they pursue their dreams. We look forward to watching them flourish and contribute to our winery.”

Imani and Freeman are pursuing their marketing studies with Delicato’s support, alongside mentorship and hands-on experience that empowers them to step confidently into future leadership roles within the industry.

Norris said:  “As a young black female, overcoming adversity is a familiar experience. It taught me to be a person of integrity and to achieve my dreams through hard work.

“The Delicato Family Wines BIPOC scholarship awards a diverse array of students who have an insurmountable work ethic. The scholarship/internship program that I have been blessed to receive has truly changed my life. Joining this company is synonymous with submerging yourself within a culture centered around family values.

“Being a recent high school graduate with little job experience, I felt extremely valued and understood through every interaction with the Delicato staff.”
