White Claw launches vodka in the UK
Hard seltzer stalwart White Claw has shifted its UK focus onto full-strength spirits by launching its vodka range in the market.
White Claw hit the scene in 2016 and has ridden the wave of growing demand for ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages ever since.
Mark Anthony Brewing, White Claw’s parent company, is the fourth largest brewer in the US, and its RTD brand continues to dominate the category both in the US and in export markets.
The company announced it was expanding its offering in March 2023, launching a range of White Claw Vodka products in select markets across North America.
White Claw’s vodka range is now being rolled out in the UK from 20 September, with four SKUs — unflavoured (40% ABV), Black Cherry, Pineapple, and Mango (all 30% ABV) — all available.
Its spirits offering has been created using what the company calls ‘Triple Wave Filtering’, a process by which the liquid is filtered three times with what it calls a “total pressure equivalent to the power of three 30-foot waves”.
White Claw Vodka has been designed to complement White Claw’s hard seltzers, the company said, explaining that the full-strength spirit has been developed to be mixed with any of White Claw’s hard seltzer range.
The company has named the new mixture which blends White Claw Vodka with White Claw Hard Seltzer the ‘Super Claw’.
White Claw’s parent company released a range of White Claw Tequila Smash products in March, tapping into three drinks trends soaring right now — Tequila, hard seltzers and RTDs. Read more on that story here.
