Prestige-Ledroit Distributing Company acquires The Craft Coalition
Prestige-Ledroit Distributing Company has acquired The Craft Coalition, a renowned beer business in Maryland and Washington DC in the US.
The deal, which closed on 1 July, will see Prestige-Ledroit integrate The Craft Coalition’s portfolio into its existing offerings, with deliveries from the combined companies hitting the road as soon as 2 July.
The Craft Coalition was founded in 2019 and since its inception has connected craft beer producers to consumers throughout Maryland and DC and has a portfolio that showcases some of the top breweries in the region and beyond. As part of the new acquisition, Prestige-Ledroit revealed that it is eager to bring the beer business to a broader audience throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
Speaking about the similarities between the companies as well as its plans, Prestige-Ledroit partner and chief operating officer Alex Thompson said: “Like The Craft Coalition, we are a company born of our community, and the integration of our two companies will allow us to deliver a more complete experience to our customers throughout the region.”
Both Prestige-Ledroit and The Craft Coalition have been focused on curating their portfolios to match the tastes and product-knowledge of a highly-educated customer and consumer base. Now, the integration of the two companies is set to streamline operations and distribution channels, ensuring efficient delivery and enhanced accessibility across Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, DC.
The Craft Coalition founder Jason Gotcher explained: “Together, we will continue to push the boundaries of innovation, expand our offerings, and deliver unparalleled value to our customers.”
Thompson reassured: “Customers should expect the same level of service, the same attention to detail as always. The highest standards are set by ourselves, and we intend to meet them from the first day of the integration.”
