Organic luxury Tequila from Casa Noble enters UK market

Casa Noble has introduced a limited edition, ultra-premium Tequila, named Marqués de Casa Noble, to its portfolio.

Marqués de Casa Noble Tequila, which has been made using 100% Blue Weber Agave grown in Jalisco in Mexico, is “poised to meet the rising demand for luxury Tequila in the market”.

Speaking to the drinks business, Casa Noble founder and maestro Tequilero Jose Pepe Hermosillo pointed out that “the public’s palate is evolving” and hinted that this was leading drinkers to discovering craft Tequila specifically for sipping.

Hermosillo told db: “We’ve seen a growing interest in craft Tequila amongst consumers over the years. Marqués de Casa Noble excites those seeking a more refined and complex sipping experience.”

He highlighted how the launch stands for more for the company than simply introducing a new variant, but is in fact considered more of an opportunity for the business to illustrate its provenance.

Hermosillo added that the creation of Marqués de Casa Noble was “not only about introducing a new product, but also sharing a piece of Mexico’s rich cultural heritage and Casa Noble’s dedication to crafting authentic world-class Tequilas”.

Casa Noble’s distillery has stated that it is committed to sustainable practises and was the first Tequila brand to be organically certified by California Certified Organic Farmers, avoiding chemicals in its agave fields, and ensuring full traceability from field to bottle.

The rare añejo, has been aged in new, hand-crafted barrels made from select trees in the Allier region of France and forest-aged for two years.

Each stage of production is controlled and overseen by founder and master Tequilero José Pepe Hermosillo to ensure each bottle is smooth, complex, and exquisitely balanced.

Hermosillo reiterated how “each step of the Tequila-making process was carefully planned and executed over the course of many years to create this unmatched spirit” and explained how Casa Noble “aimed to create a spirit that is not just complex and premium but also sippable – something to be enjoyed alongside life’s best moments”.

Through his blending of 12 extra añejos, and nine añejos aged for up to five years, crafted to capture the master distiller’s unique vision, the result is “rich and silky” and “offers a superb balance of cooked agave sweetness, vanilla, and ripe fruits, with hints of peach and roasted nuts complemented by spiced accents. The finish is smooth and indulgent, with hints of white chocolate, pecan, and almond”.

Tequila recently began muscling in on the market share of Cognac in the US which had begun experiencing a sharp declines in sales. Agave spirits, particularly Tequila, have the advantage of “scale, diversity and versatility”, according to Jose Luis Hermoso, research director, IWSR. “Tequila boasts a wide variety of styles and price points”.

As the cost of agave plummets, analysts are also eyeing how we could be about to see a boom in higher quality Tequila in a bigger way soon.

Casa Noble Tequila will be distributed by Marussia Beverages UK and available for a limited time only.
