Where to get free Palomas in London’s Covent Garden
Bacardi is opening the Patrón Paloma Ventana – a pop-up Tequila window in Covent Garden serving Paloma cocktails in the hours before sunset.
Between 5-7pm on 17-19 July, Londoners will be invited to enjoy a complimentary taste of a Patrón signature Paloma cocktail, served through a specially designed window inspired by the Patrón Hacienda and traditional Mexican plazas.
Speaking to the drinks business, Patrón UK brand ambassador Gianluca Pavanello Canella said: “The increased appetite for Tequila over the past few years highlights a broader appreciation for premium spirits and a growing curiosity about the rich heritage of Tequila and its versatile flavour profile. According to IWSR data, Super Premium+ Tequila doubled in size in the last five years. Consumers are discovering Tequila not just as a shot, but as a sophisticated spirit, ideal for sipping and crafting a variety of cocktails. This trend underscores Tequila’s evolution into a refined choice for discerning drinkers. The momentum shows no signs of slowing down and at Patrón, we remain at the forefront of this exciting trend, consistently raising the bar for Tequila innovation.”
The Paloma cocktails which combine grapefruit and lime with Patrón Reposado Tequila will be paired with a selection of botanas (Mexican small plates) handcrafted by two Michelin-starred chef Tom Sellers.
Guests will have the choice of three dishes that draw inspiration from Mexican cuisine and Cantinas, including: Pork, prawn and pineapple skewer with sticky chipotle glaze; jackfruit barbacoa taco, and mango fro-yo topped with lime and chilli syrup and popping candy.
In addition, visitors to the Patrón Paloma Ventana will receive a one-off token to redeem on a Patrón Paloma until National Tequila Day (24 July) at a selection of London’s finest bars, including, Satan’s Whiskers, Aqua Nueva, Side Hustle at NoMad, and Cafe Pacifico – with each bar offering its own take on the Patrón Paloma.
Patrón’s Paloma Ventana will be located at 5 Grape St, London WC2H 8DW. To redeem a Patrón Paloma and botana, guests simply need to say “Salud!” At the window.
Pavanello Canella explained: “As the trendiest drink of the summer, the Paloma is gaining widespread traction for its refreshing flavour profile and cutting no corners with our traditional, handcrafted production process, Patrón has perfected the Paloma. We’re excited to offer Londoners an unforgettable taste journey, with expertly crafted Patrón Palomas paired with chef Sellers’ botanas.”
Sellers added: “This collaboration with Patrón Tequila emphasises our shared commitment for craftsmanship and innovation. My recent visit to Mexico has deeply inspired the creation of these dishes, celebrating authentic Mexican flavours and the culinary traditions of the region. Each botana has been meticulously crafted to harmonise with the Patrón Paloma cocktail, offering guests a genuine taste of Mexico, right here in London.”
