Faustino updates branding of VII and V ranges

Spanish wine producer Faustino has undertaken a brand refresh for its acclaimed VII and V wine ranges.

The wines from the Rioja producer will be available at retailers Tesco and Asda in the UK, and come as it aims to “convert the next generation of wine drinks”, it said.

The new design features a modernised version of the Rembrandt portrait of Dutch merchant Nicolaes Van Bambeeck, who has been on the bottles since launch, as a representation of the Faustino family’s passion for art.

Key elements of the re-brand also include the labels being made of 100% recyclable materials, a lightweight bottle which are now 420g rather than 500g, and the V range has moved from a matte bottle to clear one resulting in lower CO2 output.

It said that these elements align with its commitment to environmental stewardship.

In addition, the The V range 2023 vintage will also have a lower ABV. The white is moving from 13.5% to 12.5% and the rosé from 12.5% to 12%. This reflects a shift in consumer behaviour, where in the UK an estimated 40% of UK adults are moderating their alcohol consumption, it said.

The bottle also contains Faustino’s commitment to enhancing the consumer experience with the new packaging including a food pairing suggestion on the side, catering to the 70% of millennials who seek wines that complement their culinary preferences.

Sarah Gandy, Marketing Manager at Amber Beverages said: “As Faustino looks to the future, the brand remains dedicated to crafting exceptional wines that honour tradition while embracing innovation.

“The brand refresh signifies an exciting new chapter for Faustino, inviting consumers to continue to enjoy and discover the timeless elegance and modern sophistication of its VII and V wine ranges.”

The updated VII and V ranges will be available in Tesco and Asda stores nationwide from June.

The rebrand extends across the full portfolio including the exclusive Faustino Art Collection, available in Hammonds of Knutsford and other independent UK retailers.
