Stormzy opens House Party bar in Soho
A new seven-storey bar based around the concept of an adolescent house party opened in Soho, London last week.
The concept on Poland Street, called House Party, is the brainchild of musician and entrepreneur Stormzy and the hospitality firm Cream Group, who also run the Cirque Le Soir, Reign and Dear Darling bars.
The concept opened its doors last Friday (7 June), offering red cups, sofas, pizzas and model of the young house party experience.

Set across seven floors, the bar mirrors different rooms in a typical house, and includes immersive actors, performers and interactive additions to offer customers “an authentic house party experience and bring the space alive”, the brand said.
It aims to sit at the ‘intersection’ between nightclubs and more relaxed venues and concerts which have become increasingly popular in post-pandemic nightlife.
Curated by co-founder Stormzy, customers can expect tracks and performances from DJs and artists across a number of different genres in each room, and even see decks being spun in the kitchen space. It said that the bar is “the only place in London where bedroom-DJs-turned-headliners will once again become bedroom DJs”.
The venue also includes a number of retro games consoles, including a Nintendo N64, GameCube and Xbox, as well as opportunities for karaoke in the master bedroom. In addition, guests can relax on a roof terrance where there will be barbecues and even a secret room based on the characters Joey and Chandler from the popular 1990s sit-com Friends, where there are lazy boys, a private mini fridge, a media centre and a phone for fresh pizza.

A drinks menu includes classic and signature cocktails such as the Tommy’s Margarita served in glassware, and the Dark & Stormzy, served in a red-cup. Food will also be available throughout the venue on first come first serve with their chef dishing up New York style crispy pizza or giant New York style slices. Offerings include a hot honey and pepperoni pizza, served with a whisked garlic ranch dip and a side of Dr Pepper slow-cooked sticky wings. QR codes are placed around the venue to scan and order food, in order to avoid ‘breaking the illusion’ of being at a house party.
Other features include a 1990s black BMW — Stormzy’s first car — which was lowered into the basement, beer pong tables, and the ability for guests to even play their own music in rooms via Bluetooth.
