Moët Hennessy offers a taste of luxury at travel retail gala
Moët Hennessy has presented its portfolio in collaboration with DFS Group at the 12th edition of the Masters of Wines and Spirits gala event.
This year’s event, themed ‘Ignite Your Senses’ showcased rare, luxurious, and exclusive wines and spirits from across the globe and coincided with displays at DFS Macau until the end of July 2024 and DFS Los Angeles International Airport until the end of June 2024.
Moët Hennessy’s participation in DFS’ Masters of Wines and Spirits saw it including its Cognacs, whiskies, wines, and Champagnes.
The collection included the limited edition Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame Paola Paronetto; the rare cellar release,Dom Pérignon Plénitude 2 Rosé 2000; the new Hennessy Paradis 35cl Cognac; the limited edition Scotch single malt whisky, Ardbeg Smoketrails Côte Rôtie Edition; and the travel retail exclusive Glenmorangie Pommard Cask Finish 25-Year-Old.
Moët Hennessy Travel Retail also included a Glenmorangie bar which served up whiskies such as the Glenmorangie Single Cask 18-Year-Old, a DFS exclusive selected from one of the finest barrels at the Maison, and the Glenmorangie Pommard Cask Finish 25-Year-Old, limited to 1,000 bottles globally.
Other highlights of the event were the Glenmorangie Tale of Tokyo, inspired by Japanese culture and featuring casks from Mizunara oak with packaging by Japanese contemporary artist Akira Yamaguchi; and the Glenmorangie Barrel Select Calvados Edition, aged in ex-Bourbon and Calvados casks.
The Glenmorangie activation remained open during the gala, allowing guests to sample select products and enjoy an immersive experience.
Complementing the in-store exhibition was a Glenmorangie pop-up at DFS Macau, Four Seasons which involved an interpretation of Glenmorangie’s pot stills and showcased products such as the Glenmorangie Signet and travel retail exclusives such as the 12-Year-Old Accord, 14-Year-Old Elementa, and 16-Year-Old Tribute.
Visitors could also indulge in a vaporiser experience to nose the aromas before tasting. Aromas included coffee for Signet, orange and lemon for the travel retail range, and mint for the Glenmorangie 19-Year-Old. Additionally, various gifts with purchases, such as whisky stones and Glenmorangie 14-Year-Old 10cl bottles, as well as special pricing on select items were also available.
To round off the event, Moet Hennessy Travel Retail also hosted an exclusive Ao Yun masterclass during the Masters of Wines and Spirits, where guests sampled the Ao Yun Grand Cru, Adong, and Xidang wines which were produced in the foothills of the Himalayas.
