St Patrick’s Day is almost upon us, and to celebrate the Apostle of Ireland, db has put together a list of the best cocktails to make at home during the festivities.

Cointreau’s Irish Americano

This Irish Americano is a bitter, Irish-inspired tipple, perfect for St Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ingredients:
20ml Campari
15ml Cointreau L’Unique
40ml Red Vermouth
1 Top Soda
1 Edible Flower

Combine all ingredients over ice in a glass and stir briefly. Garnish with the flower.

Kilkea Green Grasshopper

Ingredients:
35ml of Clonakilty – Port Cask Irish Whiskey (or other premium whiskey)
25ml of St Germain Liquor
25ml of Crème de Menthe
40ml Bailey’s Irish Cream
Orange Peel
Sprig of Mint
Cup of Ice

Prepare glass by adding orange peel and mint to the rim. Add ice to boston shaker, then add whiskey, St. Germain, Crème de Menthe & Bailey’s Irish Cream and shake for 30 seconds. Strain contents of shaker into champagne flute and enjoy.

Pot of Gold Cocktail

Ingredients:
4oz whiskey or bourbon
16oz Natalie’s Natural Lemonade
2oz club soda
Ice
Slices of lemon for garnish
Edible gold leaf

In a cocktail shaker, combine the whiskey/Bourbon and Natalie’s Natural Lemonade with ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Strain into two glasses with fresh ice and top with club soda. Garnish the glass with gold leaf and a lemon wedge.

METAXA Baby Guinness

A Greek twist on the iconic Irish shot that will help kick start the drinking festivities.

Ingredients
¼ shot of Irish cream
½ shot of coffee liqueur
¼ shot of METAXA 12 Stars

Combine the coffee liqueur and METAXA 12 Stars in a shot glass. Float the Irish cream on top.

Kahlúa Espresso Martini

The best cocktails to shake up St Patrick's day

Kahlúa is trying to take on the iconic Guinness with this Espresso Martini recipe. The coffee liqueur has launched a campaign, setting up outside famous stout pubs in London to draw punters in to drinking cocktails over pints of the black stuff.

Ingredients:
Ice cubes
1 part Kahlúa
1 part Absolut Vodka (or 1 part Jameson Irish whiskey if you’re feeling particularly Irish)
1 part Espresso
3 Coffee Beans

Fill a shaker with ice and add Kahlúa, Absolut (or Jameson), and espresso. Shake until cold, about 15–20 seconds. Strain into a martini or cocktail glass. Garnish with three coffee beans for good luck.
