Perrier redesigns bottle for the first time in 160 year history
French sparkling water brand Perrier is celebrating its 160th anniversary with an Employees Only Singapore bar takeover in Hong Kong and bottle redesign — the first in the brand’s history.
To celebrate 160 years since it was founded, Perrier is launching a brand new version of its glass bottle, redesigned for the first time by French designer and architect Philippe Starck.
The new limited-edition PERRIER® + STARCK® bottle will be launched in Hong Kong on 18 January. Its design, which diffracts light through thin horizontal streaks carved into the glass surface, takes inspiration from Fresnel’s optical lens design.
To launch the new bottle design, Perrier is heading to Ozone in Hong Kong on 18 January, the highest rooftop bar in the world on the 118th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong.
From 7 to 11pm, guests will be offered signature cocktails made by Bryan Bonifacio, bar manager of Employees Only Singapore, and William, head bartender. Both Bryan and William will be doing a guest shift at Ozone.
The PERRIER® + STARCK® bottles will be available in very limited quantities in selected outlets in Hong Kong, starting with City Super Times Square and Kai Tak from January 19th 2024, with an RRP of HK$88 per bottle for the Perrier + Starck limited edition 311ml, and HK$130 per bottle for the Perrier + Starck limited edition 727ml.
Employees Only first launched in New York in 2004. In 2016, the bar debuted its second outpost in Singapore, spearheaded by Igor Hadzismajlovic, one of the original five partners of Employees Only in New York, along with partners Eric Lincoln, Steve Schneider, Joshua and Sarissa Schwartz and chef/partner Julia Jaksic. Employees Only Singapore has been listed as one of “Asia’s 50 Best Bars” for years (2016, 2017, 2018,2019 & 2023) and currently #30 for this years A50BB list.
