Milestone Beverages welcomes Leon Ashford in director role
Milestone Beverages HK Ltd has announced that Quench Solutions, led by director Leon Ashford, will spearhead the company’s operations in Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA).
The move signals the company’s commitment to strategic growth, as Milestone looks to bolster its presence in the EMEIA region.
Milestone is already working on projects in India and Europe, and has seen significant growth of its Onikishi Japanese whisky. The company will imminently launch its Stateless American whiskeys and also hopes to tap into burgeoning demand for Tequila.
Leon Ashford brings to Milestone Beverages expertise in sales, marketing, and distribution strategy particularly pertinent to the alcohol market. As a chartered accountant, Ashford will be instrumental in helping Milestone manage organic growth and grow margins through its expansion, and brings expertise from prior roles with The Foster’s Group, African + Eastern, and IDS.
Ashford will join three existing directors at Milestone Beverages and will retain his role as director at Quench Solutions.
Commenting on hsi appointment, Joseph Milner, managing director of Milestone Beverages, said: “MB has seen unprecedented growth globally with strategic wins in Global Travel Retail, with Onikishi Japanese whisky and continued success in our stronghold of Asia. As we deepen partnerships with key stakeholders such as LeVecke Wine, Beers and Spirits, the appointment puts the right skills in the right markets at the right time so we can further drive and grow sales, profitability and brand penetration”
Ashford added: “Milestone Beverages’ track record of developing brands is impressive and the portfolio approach in EMEIA will help us open new markets, drive distribution and create consumer demand. I am personally looking forward to successfully delivering profitable brand growth in the region and assisting Milestone Beverages in becoming a truly global brand building company.”
Despite global economic challenges, Milestone reports continued growth of its business, with its acquisition of a 50% stake in Australian Craft Cocktail company Mixology, and it’s launch of Stateless American whiskies in February of 2024.
