Though Sessions Arts Club, which opened in 2021, is often deemed to be the “most beautiful restaurant in London”, there was substance to the style when it came to the food.
Knight, who previously spent a five year stint at Polpetto, received critical acclaim for her ability to elevate even the simplest of dishes with masterful technique and plating.
In a statement concerning her departure, Knight said: “My time at Sessions Arts Club has been immensely fulfilling and I hold so many fond memories with the team since we opened. I would like to thank Jonny [Gent] for welcoming me with open arms and allowing me to be a part of building such a wonderful place.”
Jonny Gent, founder of Cabin Studio, the group behind the restaurant, added: “We would like to thank Florence for her time and dedication, and bringing her wonderful cooking to our guests at Sessions Arts Club. We are so thrilled to have worked alongside Florence and are so excited for where this next chapter will take her. We look forward to welcoming our new chef in the New Year as we look to explore exciting new sites and ventures.”
Knight has kept her plans quiet for the moment, the only detail her website reveals is: “New restaurant to be announced”.
