Pinot Noir, the drama queen of grape varieties: so tricky to grow, but it can turn into some of the most sought-after wines in the world, in a wide range of styles.

Our Pinot Noir-led competition is the perfect opportunity to put your wines under the spotlight.

We gathered the top five reasons why you should enter the Global Pinot Noir Masters below:

  1. Your wines will be tasted by some of the best palates in the world: our panel of expert judges is comprised solely of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers.
  2. The entries are all tasted blind, pushing aside any regional bias. Pinot Noir from across the globe will therefore be judged purely on style and price. In 2023, the medallists came from 14 different countries, including lesser-known regions from Turkey or Kazakhstan.
  3. Pinot Noir is so difficult to grow it is nicknamed “the heartbreak grape” – your work deserves some recognition, and you know what mends a broken heart? A medal signalling the high quality of your wine to consumers and the trade.
  4. 2024 will mark the 11th edition of the Global Pinot Noir Masters, which is also our most extensive competition: getting recognised among a wide range of top world Pinot and being published in the leading magazine for the wine and spirits trade will be a valuable push to help grow your presence across the globe.
  5. The wines will be divided into price brackets and style categories, and welcome all styles of Pinot, whether it is bubbly, juicy and packed with red fruits, or age-worthy.

Open to any style of Pinot Noir, the Global Pinot Noir Masters aims at identifying the best expressions of this grape variety across the world. Entries are open until 1 March and results will be published in the April issue of the drinks business magazine and online.
