Online casino offers customers £200 to become mulled wine taste tester

Successful applicants will receive a hamper of 10 mulled wines from UK supermarkets. VegasSlotsOnline is asking the chosen taster to review each tipple, taking into account factors including aroma, appearance, flavour, price and quality.

Four hours over a five day window from 19 to 25 December is required by the designated mulled wine taster, the company has said. Upon completion they will receive £200.

Applicants must apply via a google form, which asks prospective tasters to explain why they want the role in 300 words or less.

It also asks applicants to subscribe to an email newsletter from vegasslotsonline.com.

This is not the first time that a job for a drinks taster has come up. Last year, drinks retailer The Bottle Club offered Espresso Martini lovers the chance to get paid to sip on cocktails.

According to a press release published by the brand at the time: “We will hire one individual to be an official taste tester over a three month period who will get to try out £500’s worth of espresso martinis around their city.”

The chosen candidate was asked to rank a host of Espresso Martinis based on the following criteria:

  1. The flavour and strength ratio
  2. The appearance and garnish
  3. The value for money
  4. The quality of ingredients used
  5. Shaken or stirred
