Drink and get inked at this beer and tattoo celebration
Rhinegeist Brewery’s annual beer and tattoo celebration, Inked, returns next week showing how brewing and body art make the perfect pairing.
The Ohio-based event, which will take place at the brewery’s Over-the-Rhine taproom on 18 November, will feature draught variants of Rhinegeist’s imperial stout, Ink, along with tattoo artists doing live tattoos of pre-selected flash art.
Speaking about the popular event, Karen Bear, assistant general manager at the Rhinegeist taproom said: “As fall arrives, we are excited for the upcoming annual celebration of beer and tattoos here on Elm Street. We are excited to welcome back some existing shops to the taproom, as well as some new artists, bringing us up to seven shops for this fourth iteration of Inked.”
Participating tattoo shops from across Cincinnati include: White Whale; Black Fern; Lonesome Town; Decorated Body; Got Ink; Mothers and Peregrine.
The event will take place from noon until 9pm and each of the tattoos will be on a first-come-first-served basis, so the brewery is encouraging attendees to arrive early to secure a spot with their preferred artist.
According to local reports, Inked will also feature a pop-up bottle shop offering vintage brews from the Rhinegeist Barrel Aged portfolio, and there will be on-site food available from The Empanadas Box.
During the celebration, Rhinegeist Brewery will also be selling 16oz. cans of Ink and a limited-edition Ink variant canned especially for this event named Cherry Cordial Ink. Both beer can designs will also showcase hand-drawn flash art by the Rhinegeist team.
Attendees to the taproom on 18 November will also be able to buy limited-edition collectible Ink merchandise including the brewery’s new 2023 T-shirt and beer koozies.
