Moët Hennessy Travel Retail opens Glenmorangie boutique

Moët Hennessy Travel Retail, in partnership with Dufry and London Heathrow airport, has opened its first Glenmorangie boutique in Terminal 2.

Glenmorangie's new boutique in Heathrow airport

Dubbed The Wondrous Glenmorangie Boutique, and located at Heathrow’s Terminal 2, the Queen’s Terminal, the company said it was the world’s first such shop, where travellers can find Glenmorangie Highland single malt Scotch whisky and will be taken on a “sensory journey” that “celebrates the brand’s imagination”.

Based on the whisky’s signature orange hue, the space is designed in oak, which was done as a tribute to the casks which the whisky is aged in.

Curving linework throughout the store reflects the single malt’s “fluidity” and the distillery’s Highland surroundings. Copper accents and depictions of Glenmorangie’s brand icon, the giraffe, pay homage to the height of its towering stills.

The boutique also aims to reflect the work of Dr Bill Lumsden, the distillery’s director of whisky creation, who has been at Glenmorangie for more than 25 years. To showcase his skill, a selection of rare and experimental single malts are available exclusively inside.

Products to feature include Glenmorangie Tuiga 25 Year Old and Glenmorangie Sonoma-Cutrer Reserve 25 Year Old, alongside Glenmorangie’s full Travel Retail range, with more exclusive bottlings will be available in coming months. The Tuiga, which was released as a celebratory bottling for the Monaco Yacht Club in 2021, had an extremely limited production run.

The Glenmorangie Sonoma-Cutrer Reserve is a limited edition 25-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky that the distillery said “offers a unique taste of California’s sunlit vineyards”. There are 1,000 bottles in existence, finished in Chardonnay wine casks.

Alongside the whiskies for sale there are also cocktails available at a bar, as well as bottle engraving services available for the most premium bottles in the boutique.
