Along the Rhône: an exciting October tasting
A trade tasting from the Rhône valley region in France is due to take place this month in London, showcasing the finest wines from the area.
Taking place on Monday, 9 October, there will be some 70 Rhône wines, ranging from great value Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages, all the way to the most prestigious crus: Condrieu, Gigondas, Hermitage, Lirac.
While some wines are currently available from UK importers, others are looking for new representation.
In addition, get inspired by a selection by Matt Walls, author of Wines of the Rhône, of six Rhône Valley wines from six appellations, and a selection of food-friendly bottles ideal for the on-trade chosen by some of the UK’s top sommeliers.
There will be two masterclasses presented by Jamie Goode:
11.00am – Rising stars in AOC Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages
3.00pm – Cru focus: terroirs and styles of Condrieu, Hermitage, Gigondas and Lirac
