50 Cent’s Sire Spirits announces top team

Rapper and entrepreneur Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson’s Sire Spirits brand has announced Joseph Eger as chief operating officer along with Andrew Teubner, who has joined as chief revenue officer, db can reveal.

Eger will report directly to the founder and CEO Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the spirits industry, having spent well over a decade at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits in multiple executive capacities.

He most recently held the position of vice president, general manager of Craft Collection Luxury Spirits and Domaine & Estates Artisanal Wines for the state of New York.

In 2020, following the successful launch of Craft Collection in New York, he led the SG+ task force at the company, with the aim of expanding the division across the United States. He is also partner in Kintera Wine Cellars, Tramet Grappa and on the advisory board for Fasol Menin winery in Italy.

Teubner, a 30-year industry veteran, most recently served as the chief operating officer of Ghost Tequila from April 2019 through June 2023. He also currently sits on the corporate board of the Eau Claire Distillery in Calgary, Alberta,
Canada. Under his leadership at Ghost they expanded to a global brand with all domestic distribution and over 30 export markets.

It follows Jackson’s Sire Champagne agreeing to a multi-year agreement with Terroirs et Vignerons de Champagne (TEVC) in July, as revealed by the drinks business. Sire Champagne partnered with TEVC on a sourcing agreement for its its Le Chemin du Roi brands. As part of the deal, TEVC will produce bespoke prestigious champagne blends for Sire’s award-winning Le Chemin du Roi Brut and Le Chemin du Roi Rose.

Speaking about the deal, Jackson said: “The future of Le Chemin du Roi as a key player in the Champagne industry has been solidified through this exciting deal.”

Jackson entered the drinks trade in 2018 when he his own brand of Champagne “for winners only” with a gold-plated cross on every bottle and a blanc de blancs costing $1,000, before establishing Sire Spirits.
