Noble Rot founders to open second wine shop
Dan Keeling and Mark Andrew MW, the duo behind the Noble Rot magazine and wine bars, have announced that they have signed the lease for a second Shrine to the Vine shop site.

Shrine to the Vine is described by Keeling and Andrew as somewhere where they “only sell wines that we would be excited to drink ourselves, typically farmed in as sustainable way as possible, and that represent the people and places where they’re from.”
The first location, 48 Lamb’s Conduit, opened in summer 2021 across the street from the original Noble Rot location.
Now, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Noble Rot magazine, the pair have revealed that a second Shrine to the Vine site will open in Hackney.
In an Instagram post on the Noble Rot Magazine account, some details of the opening were shared: “Shrine to the Vine has just signed the lease for a second shop at 27 Broadway Market in Hackney. We’ve been coming to this shop’s previous incarnation – the sadly missed Noble Fine Liquor (no relation) – to sell them the magazine since we started in 2013, so we’ve always had a personal connection. We’re hugely looking forward to becoming part of this vibrant community.”
The opening date for this second Shrine to the Vine shop is yet to be confirmed.
Noble Fine Liquor, which previously occupied the address, shut up shop in March this year alongside wine bar P. Franco and Bright Restaurant as a result of, according the owners,”many complex ins-and-outs”.
Earlier this year, Keeling and Andrew opened their third Noble Rot site, in Mayfair.
