Final call for entries: the tenth edition of the Global Chardonnay Masters
The Global Chardonnay Masters is an ever-exciting competition identifying the best expressions of the number one grape variety in the world. Sign up before the 30 September for the chance of winning a medal.
The Global Wine Masters 2023 marks the tenth anniversary of our annual competition dedicated to the world’s top grape variety: Chardonnay.
But what makes Chardonnay so special and exciting?
From a crisp, citrusy Chablis, to a ripe and tropical-oaked American Chardonnay, there seems to be a world of difference. And Chardonnay is so much more than these polar opposites.
As pointed out by our judge Patrick Schmitt MW in last year’s competition results, the various winemaking techniques used are often strongly reflected in the taste profile of this relatively neutral grape variety.
Our Global Chardonnay Masters competition focuses on identifying the best Chardonnays across the world, in every style and price range. Both classic examples and off-the-beaten path expressions will be tasted next month. Entries are open for another week and results will be published in the November issue of the drinks business magazine and online.
Think your wines have potential to be award-winning Chardonnays?
Enter here before the 30th of September.
Entries cost: £159 ex VAT
