Disaronno Velvet partners with Laura Whitmore
Italian spirits company Illva Saronno has revealed its Disaronno Velvet brand has teamed up with TV personality Laura Whitmore.
The partnership, which focused on positioning the Disaronno Velvet Batida cocktail as the ultimate “serve of the summer,” kicked off with Whitmore raising a toast at art’otel on the rooftop of London’s Battersea Power Station this week.
According to the company, Whitmore was “the perfect choice” as “she perfectly embodies the Disaronno lifestyle and Dolce Vita philosophy”.
Disaronno International UK country director Marc Richardson said: “The Disaronno Velvet Batida offers consumers an elegant and delicious drinks option and the cocktail’s lower ABV is the ideal choice to refresh any discerning spirit drinker. Our partners for the event, art’otel and Laura Whitmore, couldn’t be more suited to showcase the brand and cocktail to the UK market.”
The Disaronno Velvet Batida is made by combining one part of Disaronno Velvet, one part of coconut water, shaking and pouring over crushed ice in a highball glass with a garnish of either coconut flakes or a coconut slice.
The 17% ABV variant Disaronno Velvet launched back in 2020 into the US and UK markets and marked the amaretto liqueur brand’s first line extension in over 500 years.
Disaronno Velvet is available at Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and Co-Op stores retailing at £16 per 50cl bottle.
