Top 10 Barbie-inspired pink cocktails

To celebrate the release of the upcoming movie, the drinks business has put together a collection of the finest Barbie-inspired pink cocktails.

Peaches and Cream

Ingredients

30ml Premium Vodka

20ml Lemon Juice

10ml Monin Peach

10ml Monin White Chocolate

Top with Soda


Very Sexy Martini

This cocktail of citrus vodka and raspberries is a great cocktail to celebrate Barbie.

Ingredients:

3 raspberries

5 mint leaves

30 ml of simple syrup

44 ml of citrus vodka

44 ml Rosé Champagne

40 ml lime juice

Garnish: Mint sprig/raspberry

Method:

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the raspberries and mint with the simple syrup.

Add the vodka, lime juice and some ice, and shake until well-chilled.

Strain into a cocktail glass. Top with champagne.

Garnish and enjoy!


Sparkling Rose Margarita

This drink’s balance of sweet and boozy is perfect with its intense pink colour.

Ingredients:

Tequila 1 shot

Triple sec 1/2 shot

1 juice of lime

120 ml sparkling rosé

1 tbsp sugar for making the sugar rim

Ice

Method:

Add ice, tequila triple sec, and juice of one lime to a cocktail shaker, then shake until chilled

Rub the rim of a glass with a lime wedge and dip in sugar

Pour cocktail shaker mixture carefully into glass and top with sparkling rosé

Add a lime slice garnish – enjoy!


Classic Cosmopolitan

The classic Cosmopolitan is the perfect pre-dinner drink to transport you to a ‘Barbie world’.

Ingredients:

Citrus vodka – 35ml

Lime Juice – 20ml

Triple Sec – 20ml

Cranberry Juice – 40ml

Orange Zest or Lime Wheel

Plenty of ice

Chilled Martini Glass

Method:

Pour 35ml of citrus vodka, 20ml of lime juice, 20ml of triple sec and 40ml of cranberry juice into a shaker with cubed ice.

Shake for 15 seconds or until condensation forms on the outside of the shaker. Fine strain into your saucer and garnish with a flamed orange zest.

Ideally, a martini saucer will add that extra touch of elegance to your drink.


Pink Heather Cocktail

For whisky lovers, the Pink Heather cocktail is the perfect Barbie-inspired drink to enjoy at home this July.

Ingredients:

60 ml whisky

30 ml strawberry liqueur

Top with sparkling rose wine

Strawberries for garnish

Method:

Pour the whisky and the strawberry liqueur into a chilled champagne flute.

Top up with sparkling wine.

Serve and enjoy!


Frozen Strawberry Margarita

If you are looking to create a drink that encapsulates the Barbie movie summer vibes then look no further than this summery frozen cocktail that combines the hot pink combination of tropical watermelon with tantalising tequila.

Ingredients:

(320g) seedless watermelon rind removed, cubed

Strawberries for garnish

Half a lime, squeezed

50ml Tequila

50ml Orange juice

1 1/2 cup ice or more

Method:

Freeze the watermelon chunks for at least 2 hours (optional but makes the drink even more refreshing)

Combine all the ingredients in a high-powered blender and pulse until fully combined and smooth. Add more ice if needed to get the consistency you like.

Pour into salt or sugar-rimmed glasses and garnish with a lime wedge.

Sip and enjoy!


Strawberry and Baileys Cream Dream Milkshake

If you’re wanting to add an alcoholic twist to a good old-fashioned strawberry milkshake this then this is the recipe for you.

This fruity, creamy and boozy milkshake offers a grown-up twist on a childhood classic that will not disappoint:

Ingredients:

200g of fresh strawberries

400g strawberry ice cream (vegan if wanted)

A teaspoon of vanilla extract

150ml whole milk or oat milk for a vegan/dairy-free alternative

2 tablespoons of sugar for those with a sweeter tooth

60 ml of Baileys Strawberries and Cream

Ice

Blender

1 Strawberry

Whipped cream

Method:

You know the drill – Take your ice cream out of the freezer 5-10 minutes before making your shake.

Chop your strawberries and add your ice cream, vanilla extract, milk and Baileys to your blender.

We’d recommend tasting your shake before deciding if you want to add a bit more sugar.

Pour your milkshake in a glass with ice, add the whipped and a strawberry for decoration and there you have it – the perfect boozy strawberry milkshake.


Pink Bombay Bramble

Step aside pink gin, Bombay Sapphire has released a crimson alternative made from freshly harvested blackberries and raspberries!

If you love a bramble – you’ll love this twist on the classic cocktail.

Ingredients:

50ml Bombay Bramble

25ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice

20ml sugar syrup

Crushed ice

Lemon wedge

Berries

Method:

Add 50ml of Bombay Bramble, 25ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 20ml of sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker

Shake well

Pour over crushed ice

Garnish with a lemon wedge and fresh berries.


Lychee & Rhubarb Spritz

A nice sour bomb to enjoy with the electric pink-coloured juice.

Ingredients:

20ml Premium Vodka

20ml Monin Rhubarb

10ml Monin Lychee

10ml Lemon Juice

10ml Apple Juice

10ml Simple Syrup

Top with Prosecco
