The incident went viral with his 26-second clip which gained 2.7 million views after Will Meyers, known as @moneymanmyers on TikTok, revealed that he had to pick up his son from school, after unintentionally including a can of beer in with his lunch.

In his video, he admitted: “Well, I’ve got to go pick up my kid from school today because I made a big mistake. Whenever my son was born, the best advice I got was ‘you know more than you think you do,’ but today is not that day.”

Meyers showed how the accident happened and showed two black cans – one a Guinness stout beer can and one of canned sparkling water brand named Liquid Death.

He explained: “You see, one of these is sparkling water and he likes for me to pack that in his lunch, because it’s awesome. One of these is not sparkling water, although it looks like the sparkling water can, it is not sparkling water.”

Meyers then revealed that he had been called by his son’s school regarding the incident and added: “Therefore, I have to go pick up my kid from school and try to explain this situation.”

Some TikTok users commenting on the mix-up admitted that their parents had unintentionally packed beer brands into their lunch boxes as children thinking they were cans of Sprite, while others slated companies responsible for creating water and soft drinks brands that were “intentionally made to look like alcohol”.

“I’m sorry for laughing, I hope you were able to explain,” one user said, while another added: “Omg I would love to see everyone at school’s reaction to that.”
