The week in pictures

This week in the world of drinks: Champagne Bollinger RD 2008 is launched at Spencer House, the Sangiovese Reset tasting takes place in London, and we visit The Nest at Treehouse Hotel in London for a evening of cocktails and light installations.

Champagne Bollinger RD 2008 was launched last night at Spencer House, pictured below. Also pictured are Bollinger’s Chef de Cave Denis Bunner and Managing Director Charles-Armand de Belenet making their pre-dinner speeches.

The Sangiovese Reset returned to London this week, showcasing a multitude of expressions of one of Italy’s signature red varieties.

The event, took place in Lindley Hall, 80 Vincent Square and provided a full-day immersion in Sangiovese-forward wines.

We visited The Nest bar in London’s Treehouse Hotel for an evening of specially-created Diageo cocktails. The Nest is also currently playing host to three nature-inspired light installations from celebrated artist Raphael Daden, which were on display at the venue.

And Alliance Wines organised a trip Chateau de l’Escarelle for UK retailers. Chateau de L’Escarelle is situated in the heart of Provence, with 100 hectares of organically certified vineyards set in 1,000 hectares of woodland.
