The Global Wine Masters announces DO Rueda Masters competition

Set to take place on 22 February, this special Global Wine Masters competition will celebrate the best that Spain’s Rueda has to offer.

The Global Wine Masters competitions are judged ‘blind’ by Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers, with the best competing wines awarded medals, ranging from Bronze through to Gold and, for exceptional example, the title of Master.

The Rueda Masters competition is being run in conjunction with DO Rueda, who will be providing the wines entered.

Santiago Mora Poveda, general manager at the DO Rueda commented, “the Rueda Masters with the drinks business is a great step forward for the region. We are excited to have top judges from the UK trade tasting and analysing DO Rueda wines which will further consolidate the quality positioning of our wines in the UK.”
