Ex-Diageo blender makes new indie Bourbon available
Former Bulleit Bourbon blender Eboni Major’s first Bourbon with the independent distillery Dread River is now available for preorder.
Major, who previously worked for drinks giant Diageo which owned the Bulleit brand, has since released what is being titled the ‘Dread River Master Series by Eboni Major’.
The new launch, which sees Major returning to Birmingham Alabama where Dread River is based, is a blend of 2017 and 2019 Bourbons and is alleged to be a “smooth and spicy ode to her hometown.”
According to Major, her Dread River offering has “notes of cherry, apples, oak and light vanilla to go along with a smooth finish accompanied with hints of spice and warmth”.
The Dread River Master Series by Eboni Major is 100% proof and 50% ABV and will be housed in 750ml bottles sporting Major’s signature and will retail at US$114.99 per bottle.
The Bourbon will be available for preorder online through both Dread River and Major’s website, however fans are warned that supply is very limited.
