Cheval Blanc launches podcast in English
Saint-Émilion château Cheval Blanc’s much-admired podcast, which until now has been exclusively available in French, has now be launched in English.
Entitled ‘Inside Château Cheval Blanc’, the podcast aims to provide “an audio immersion into the heart of our vineyards and winery”, Cheval Blanc’s Technical Director, Pierre-Olivier Clouet told db. It’s aim is “to tell the story of Cheval Blanc as we live it every day,” he said.
The podcast reveals the different steps involved in the winemaking process, as the year unfolds, highlighting in the process the quality of this exceptional and atypical wine. From working on the soil in the winter, to the selection and preparation of the barrels, the harvest itself, the pruning of vines, the art of winemaking and the implementation of the Château’s unique and ambitious farming programme, the podcast follows the rhythm on an entire year.
Among the issues addressed are climate change, growing and grafting techniques and the preservation of biodiversity. Based on a much-acclaimed series originally put together in French, it draws on the insights of Cheval Blanc’s enthusiastic and involved artisans, who know that today’s choices will have repercussions on both the evolution of the vineyard and its soil and hence the very characteristics of the wine itself.
The podcast is already available on all usual platforms, including Apple, Spotify and Acast.
