The Travel Retail Fine Wines Alliance launches to tackle GTR
A new alliance, involving five wine producers, launches at the TFWA World Exhibition this week to help bolster each producer’s GTR presence.
The association, which calls itself the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance, will include: Albert Bichot from France, Cono Sur from Chile, González Byass from Spain, Masi from Italy and Symington from Portugal.
This week, the alliance has invited buyers to a fine wines aperitif and tasting where they will pour two wines from each of their travel retail portfolios and introduce food pairings.
Speaking about the alliance, the producers said in a statement: “We believe that together we will be able to give a stronger message to travel retail operators. Wine is a complex, intriguing and sometimes difficult world. Consumers can be intimidated in front of a wine shelf. This is the reason why they are looking for strong brands that are renown and respected for their history and the nature of their wines. They search for authenticity, uniqueness and quality at the right price. This is what we share together and what we would like to communicate to our partners”.
The members of the Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance will all be exhibiting at individual stands, but close to one another at the show in the Blue Village to assist buyers and wine fans with the ease of visiting each of them in a short space of amount time.
